Justice S.N. Jha is new President of CESTAT

Justice S.N. Jha - President of CESTAT NEW DELHI. Justice Sachchidanand Jha has been appointed as new President of CESTAT (Customs Excise and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal) consequent to retirement of Justice Abhichandani.

Born on 16th June 1945; he got enrolled as Advocate in Bihar State Bar Council on 15th July 1969.

He was elevated as Judge in Patna High Court on July 10, 1990.

He was appointed as Chief Justice of High Court of Jammu and Kashmir on February 4, 2004 where he continued till 11-10-2005

Justice Jha was Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court from 12.10.2005 to 15.06.2007.

He is known for his depth in law as evident from several significant Judicial Pronouncements. He is also a competent administrator.

AIT welcomes his appointment and wishes him good luck in his new inning as President of CESTAT.
