Drawback Rates for garments Hiked
AIT News Network

NEW DELHI.CBEC has notified several changes in Drawback Schedule and the rates for several garment/textile products have been hiked. The Cap of per piece has also been revised.

The changes have been notified by Customs Non-Tariff Notification Nos 114 to 116 dated 22^nd November 2006.
Chapter 10,48, 54,55,61, 62, 81,83,84,87 have been affected by the changes.

As per the amendment ,the term “dyed” in relation to textile materials in Chapters 54 and 55, shall include “printed or bleached”

Notwithstanding anything contained in Drawback Schedule, all artware and handicraft items shall be classified under the heading of artware/handicraft (of constituent material) as mentioned in the relevant chapters.
