Honeymoon of Law Firms with Service Tax is over
Law Firms are required to pay service tax on legal services with effect from 1st September 2009 with the Government notifying vide Service Tax Notification No. 26/2009 dated 19th August 2009; the 1st day of September, 2009, as the date on which the provisions of the Finance Act, 2009 (33 of 2009), shall come into force.
